The Tactical Catholic is moving.  Update your bookmarks to reflect  If you had already saved that url, you’re good to go.  There is A LOT to do, so bear with me, but trust me when I say that the new host will allow us to add additional features not available on the free hosting.

All the links here still work, including the contact us and prayer request forms.  Thanks for keeping us around.  Your visits and interactions are the reason we invested in additional webhosting.

Back from Posting Hiatus

Show listeners know that we’ve been out for a couple of weeks while the Tactical Catholic Podcast was on break.  Everyone is refreshed and ready to get back at it.  In fact, we recorded episode 031 Wednesday night with our special guest George Boggs.  Together we discussed faith and science, and it was a lot of fun.  George will be back to the show in the future, I guarantee it.

Lots of things are in the works for the show and for this site, so stick around.  As always, we appreciate your feedback, so use the contact form and the prayer request form (tabs above) to let us know how we can help you.

Know that everyone at The Tactical Catholic is praying for you.  We look forward to our next conversation.  God bless.

Good Catholic Websites for Guys

Last week the old Tactical Catholic tried to spend a little extra time researching the Catholic web world for sites that would benefit Catholic men like us.  See, when I started The Tactical Catholic site, part of the drive behind it was to fill a niche.  I wanted to build a site to challenge Catholic guys to get off their collective arses and be passionate about their faith.  What I’ve been discovering is that there are lots of good Catholic web sites built with the same idea in mind.  This is not frustrating but amazingly encouraging.  Guys, take this as a sign that Catholic men around the United States are manning up and taking their faith to the world.  I am reading about men who have Bible studies together, who pray together, who lead their families in nightly prayers, who sing – yes sing – in Mass, who love their wives with every ounce of their being, and let’s not forget those Catholic men who have answered God’s call to the Sacrament of Holy Orders.  It’s a good time to be a Catholic guy on the web.

What I’m going to do over the next few weeks is catalogue Catholic men’s websites.  Take a moment to tell me which web sites are beneficial to you in your walk with Jesus Christ.  You are welcome to use the combox below.  Recommend a website and tell me why it’s a good one.  While you’re at it, tell your buddies to make their recommendations as well.

Guys, if  you are the owner of a Catholic website geared towards men, I’d like to network with you.  If we can take the time to know one another and our goals as fellow ministers for the Gospel, we should be able to find ways to help one another.  In fact, I would be willing to share space and allow some of you guys to guest write or share articles on this site so that more guys can be exposed to your materials.  Contact me and we’ll talk about it.  In the meantime, keep sending me links for sites.
