Catholic Men’s Groups

I have found it beneficial to serve as a Knight of Columbus. If you are man enough you should join us. Whether you’re a Knight or not, though, you gotta have community.

It takes balls to admit you need help, so I hope you have them. Admit it or not, you will sink on your own. My prayer for all men is that they will find true community, preferably with men strong in their Catholic faith.

When I coach wrestling, I look to mix up the wrestling opportunities each guy has. If a guy always wrestles with someone who is constantly dominating him, how will he learn offense? If he drills with a kid who is weak, how will he ever be challenged to improve? There has to be balance. I have seen regional champs decimated at state because they never really faced quality opponents. I have also seen good wrestlers who hit a peak or quit because no one helps them.

We need challenging too, guys. We also need to challenge others. In a community we are all at different places in our spiritual journey. Here, we learn from one another. We are help our brothers in their weaknesses and we are helped in ours. We need this to get stronger.

I have found tight friends through RCIA, Knights, and Small Church Communities. Find somewhere you can plug in. Invest in your life by helping your fellow man. It works.

If you are interested in starting a group or improving one you are in, I would love to help (for free). This is what I went to school to do, so you might as well let me. Contact me or use the combox.
